KINGS SUPPORT BOBBY, BUT LOSE GAMES
January 27, 2003

KINGS ARE LOST

JB

This road trip was a complete disaster. If it hadn't been for JWill's brain cramp in the 4th quarter last Thursday, they would have been 0-3 on the trip. No big mystery why the losses. The overall effort on defense wasn't there for every game. Without defense, the Kings record would be .500. They need to find it again in a big hurry because Portland is making a move for the division lead.

Reno Lady

No defense the last 2 games = no wins the last 2 games. Every player on the team forgot a guy named Glen Robinson when they played Atlanta. They left him wide open 4 times and he got the ball 3 of those 4 and scored all 3 times.

Today........they all looked older than me......and that's not a good thing! Their respect and caring for their teammate and his family is a wonderful thing and maybe they were willing to gamble and even give up a win on the road to show Bobby their support, but that extra traveling time for a team who's already traveling a lot was their undoing today. It's time for them to take an inside look at themselves on the way home today and re-focus or they won't even win 60 games this year and will give the Pacific Divison and maybe the Western Conference away.

I think people are forgetting Christie has 6 (or is it 4?) stitches in his finger right now, and I believe that's on his shooting hand. I'm guessing between the stitches and the bandage, it's throwing his shot off quite a bit.

On a brighter note, it was nice to see Pollard out on the floor today. Hopefully, Bobby will be playing soon as well. I really think not having Bobby in at least 2 of the 4 games the Kings have lost recently have hurt the Kings. Not enough crunchtime defense or energy.
