HOLY BLEEPING BLEEP!
CaliDrumGirl
::still catching my
breath...:: Wow, wow, WOW!!! What can I
add that hasn't already been said...? Well,
my own standout impressions...
-
Scot Speaks - maybe not the exact words
we might have wanted to hear, but as far
as I'm concerned, it's closure...
-
Uber-Dirk - Man, is that guy incredible
or what? (See, I said he'd been working
on his D...he's no Doug Christie, but he's
improving...) The guy can just drill it
from anywhere, and standing, crouching,
falling on his bee-hind. He's also got this
cute/goofy new "thang" of bopping
himself on the head with the ball when he
fouls/makes a bad play... ::tries to keep
her inner teeny-bopper in check::
-
Peja Vu All Over Again - Right up there
with Dirkster in the scoring department.
Once Peja gets his shot on, there's just
no stopping him...
-
Auto-Drive? - Doug's little behind-the-back
to himself before that layup? Slick, D.C.,
hella slick...
-
Musical Moments - Personal kudos to the
AAC sound bunch for playing "All My
Life" (Foo Fighters) during halftime...nice
call, dudes!
-
"Siddown, Waldo!" (ref: Van Halen
"Hot For Teacher" video...) -
Poor Shawn Bradley...a pulse and six fouls.
Six fast fouls. (What was that, four in
three minutes?) Some of them may have been
questionable, but I've been watching this
guy. Spot him an extra two and he'd still
be taking the fourth quarter off if they
gave him serious minutes. Noticed Dirk smacking
him upside the head after one...had to LOL,
not the first time Dirk has taken him to
task after a boneheaded play...
-
"Gone, gone, on to the next one..."
("All My Life" reference) - Chris
fouls out. Vlade fouls out. Two bench guys
win the game. Holy (bleep)...
-
Purple Rose of Texas? - Sorry if I sound
like a complete, awestruck Mavericks nut,
but...I love those guys. How much more could
you have asked from a team, from a game?
How much more of themselves could Dirk Nowitzki,
Mike Finley or Nick Van Exel have poured
into this game? Beyond skill, energy and
versatility, you just have to love their
heart...
-
No More Questions - ...that said, is there
any doubt in any of our minds now that the
Kings have what it takes to go the distance?
Thanks
to the Kings for another amazing, breathtaking
victory, and to the Mavericks for bringing
it, and bringing the best out of our guys.
Both teams deserved to win; I hate that
either had to lose.
Esteemed
competitors, until next month in Sacramento...::
bows::
