WELL THAT'S MORE LIKE IT
Reno Lady
A hard fought game,
but with the Kings coming out on the winning
side. That's what I like to see!
I
think Christie's steal in the 4th was the
turning point; it gave both the players
and fans some much needed enthusiasm. Bobby's
3 pointer was terrific as well. The one
thing that bothers me most is the Kings
wait too long to turn it up on defense.
If they can do it in the final 5 minutes,
they can do it in the final 12 minutes.
It's almost like they have the "we'll
just turn it on" mentality going and
if they do, I hope Adelman and his staff
find a way to knock it out of them.
It
was great to see Pollard in the game tonight
- and he made a difference, even if he did
pick up a foul immediately. I was proud
of the Kings fans at the game - I heard
no booing over the tv so if there was any,
it was apparently drowned out by the cheers
and clapping.
Webber
was very good - again, once he finally got
going. The story about Vlade chartering
a jet, flying in his brother, and all the
guys attending the fight in LV was great.
You have to admire the closeness of this
team - and it's not fake either; it's the
real deal.
The
Kings are now - what? 12-0 against EC teams
at ARCO? That's pretty good.
The
next problem comes Wednesday night in the
form of KG and the Timberwolves, who are
playing terrific ball right now and if the
Kings don't bring their A game, they'll
get their rears kicked. |
