OBSERVATIONS
SactoGreg

"I defy anyone that can tell the difference between these donuts and those baked fresh today"...Homer Simpson

- Ugly game, but the outcome was pretty.

- Hudson is NOT your go-to-guy. Credit Bibby for "in-your-pocket" D on him.

- Anthony Peeler is NOT good.

- KG IS good.

- CWebb is BETTER.

- Peja was the key to this game, IMO.

Defense, free throws, rebounds. Pretty damn good on a night when his shots weren't falling.

- Bill Walton is painful to listen to. They need to replace him.

- Thanks for the crappy game, Wally Z. Oh, and Happy Birthday!

- When all the other Kings players are being mentioned about their contribution towards the victory, he is the silent hero yet again. Doug Christie is absolutely amazing. And have you noticed? When he scores more than 10 points, the Kings win...

KIDD'S TURN
Hallama

Like Webber two years ago, it is now Jason Kidd's turn to be cast in the media's blaring spotlight for a superstar FA. Tonight, Kidd plays in San Antonio, who many speculate will be Kidd's next home after this season. Webber got the same treatment in Detroit and NY during his FA tour...the hints, the unanswered questions and speculations...

The Spurs, specifically Pop, have done a fabulous job of sporting an elite team this season while freeing up enough capspace in the offseason to sign one of the top FA's including Kidd, Jermaine O'Neal, Elton Brand, or Gary Payton...not to mention having enough space to resign Tim Duncan in the process...quite an accomplishment.

I believe the Kings could make a run at Kidd in the offseason and have a better shot at landing him then the Spurs...via a sign and trade that would send Mike Bibby + filler (perhaps an unhappy Hedo and an expiring contract like Fundy) for Kidd...the Kings would be gambling away the youth and promise of Bibby for the experience and skills of the best PG in the NBA, Jason Kidd (who turns 30 in a few weeks)...

Of course, lots depends on this years playoff run for the Kings, this trade is under the assumption that the Kings lose again in the WC playoffs...so, how many of you would consider doing this? How long can the Kings depend on the injury prone Webber to carry the load? I think the Kings have a smaller window to win a championship than most would like to believe...

*just speculating like the media
