HARDER THAN IT NEEDED TO BE
JB
That win was harder
than it needed to be. I like the way they
played in crunch time, but what da hell
was that long string of giving up rebounds
and second chance points late in the 3rd
and early in the 4th? There might be something
to the theory about Webber's free throw
accuracy taking turns with his jump shot.
The free throws are currently "in".
Some nice clutch jump hooks and a sweet
pass to Vlade sealed the win.
I think Bibby needs to visit with Peja's
Yugo doctor. His game needs a transfusion
or something. Webber was 3-4 at the line.
I don't consider that a bad thing. Rebounds
however are a huge problem. I don't see
them going very far in the post season unless
they make that a priority 1 fix. Finally,
Pollard out again. Back injury. MRI to be
done to see if his disk is injured again.
yikes.

Am I the only one
that has a foreboding sense about the prospect
that Webber's ankle may end up costing the
Kings big time as we move to the close of
the regular season? As to the Kings dismal
freethrow shooting, even the ESPN announcer
commented on the Kings having free throw
woes. My point here is, that as things tighten
up in a tough race to the finals, missed
free throws and Webber's ankle problem together
are cause for real concern. With Webber,
his ankle keeps him from rebounding and
cutting. And we all know what missed free
throws did to this team last season. Also,
add to this that Scot Pollard may be out
for the rest of the season. His back is
still dogging him, and that is not good.
