DIVISION CHAMPS - BEST RECORD OVERALL
Bonnie49erKings
The
Banner scrolling down from below the big scoreboard
was terrific. We kept looking around when
we came in, wondering where the banner was
going to be. The producers did a great job
with lights out, fireworks, Joe and Maloof
upstairs with fireworks in their hands, and
then.. the moment... and down it scrolls.
I saw it and just screamed "THERE IT
IS!!!" and was pointing up. I said it
loud enough to embarrass my daughter, but
then, it doesn't take much for me to embarrass
her these days. The spotlights were on it
and the crowd was screaming.
I
watched the replay on tape and was surprised
that they totally took out the crowd noise.
All that came across was music. I wonder if
they had to overdub it for some reason.
The
crowd was loud and continued loud right through
all the introductions.
After
the game, too bad so many people left early!!!,
Vlade and Webber gave a little "thanks"
at mid-court to the fans and all the players
came out and gave out autographed shoes.
And
here's an idea, let's bring some of those
"Can I borrow $280,000?" signs to
the playoff games.
I
think Webber has learned a lot in all these
years. He's learned to pace himself. He comes
out and usually lets the flow of the game
get going, making more passes than shot attempts
early, then starts getting more and more momentum
and if the game needs it, he gets very aggressive
in the 4th quarter.
He
usually coasts through his minutes in the
2nd and 3rd, shooting more jumpers. Then in
the 4th, if the game is already won, he continues
to just coast. But if it's close, he turns
it up and gets very aggressive. I think he's
lulled his defender to sleep by that time.
I
heard that bit about Webber taking "too
much on himself", but I'm not sure every
player out there doesn't feel the same way
in those games.

I
just think we all gotta just come to terms
with the fact that there will be no easy path
to the WCF.
Whether
it be UTAH or Seattle[Which I think will be
a 3 game sweep]
It's
kinda made me laugh over these past couple
weeks listening to fans of other teams talking
about not wanting one team, and wanting the
other, acting as if the team shared our same
thoughts or fears.
If
the Kings are hungry enough[Which I think
they are]...it won't matter who they faced
but there road to the WCF should only take
10 games.
I
don't think that there is a Western Playoff
Team as hungry for the title than the Kings.
Whether
it be against Utah,Seattle,Dallas,SA, or Minny...Sacramento
will be in the WCF.
With
the West set...anybody got any predicitions?
Like
I said a week ago...I think 2 top seeds will
have a sweep and the other two will get dog
fights.
Sacramento/Utah.
Regardless of what Barkley said[I think thats
hhis love for Karl and John talking] Utah
has proven that they can't hang with us in
Arco this year, past the halfway point of
the 2nd Q:)
Sacramento
in 3.
Dallas/Minnesota.
You just know that KG is just salivating to
get at Dallas with a injured Dirk and Nash[Screwed
up his back tonight]. This is probably the
1st round upset.
Minny
in 5.
Seattle/San
Antonio, Poor Sonics actually decided to show
up and play tonight and for that they get
San Antonio. I really don't see Seattle advancing...but
I don't see San Antonio breezing through them.
If Lewis and Vin decide they want to play..Seattle
could get a game or 2.
San
Antonio in 4.
Lakers/Portland.
Can the Lakers turn it on? Will Scottie actually
realize that this team probably needs him
more than he realizes to advance? Robert Horry
might not be able to suit up for them in this
series with that injury so Rasheed is gonna
be able to go wild.
Lakers
in 3 if Portland can't stay in the series
mentally.
Blazers
in 5 if Portland actually stays in control.
If Horry is as injured as they are letting
on and can't go that will hurt LA big time.

(The
last game was) a meaningless game in which
Kings put a scare into lakers with bench play
in the first half.
Kings
actually won this match up. No injuries for
the Kings and Horry looks like he may have
a serious abdominal strain.
My
son is right, Hubie Brown is well down the
road to senile.... The fat guy...who never
won a ring....continues to show his stupidity....
No
matter what any of the media hop heads think
or say.... the fact is that the Kings have
the best record in basketball and have home
court advantage all the way. Also, the Kings
have the third best road record of any team
in the NBA.... yes, better than the lakers.
The east coast leader new Jersey that they
all fawn over has a losing road record against
mostly inferior eastern conference competition...geez....
Fox
is a dirt bag....a sneaky cheap shot artist
and a whiner of the first order.......
My
prediction .... the Kings will not even see
the lakers in the Western Conference finals
as the leakers get knocked out by Portland
or San Antonio.
GO
KINGS....now the real season begins...not
this mop up last week that was meaningless......
Cat
Man
Portland,
or Team Dysfunctional, probably can't handle
the Lakers, but MVP Tim Duncan and the Spurs
can. That will be quite a series.
Certainly
wouldn't suck to see the Lakers go down early.
But they're warriors. Not putting anything
past those guys.
