Lets Go to the Phoenix Game
Pam

To All the REAL King's fans out there:
Chris Webber is not the only player on our Sac. Kings team this year. Chances are, he may not be here next year. The reality is that this year our team has a real chance to go very far in the play-offs, if not all the way. But they need our support. Whatever the
deal is with Webber, injury, personal problems or wanting to leave  Sacramento, he is not the only  member of the team and we need to support the rest. We are now in a situation where we have to win in Phoenix to move on. The team has already shown they can win almost anywhere away, so that's not a problem. However, everyone knows how much they feed off the fan

The heart of a champion still beats purple blood through the veins of the Kings players. (Nice game, C-Webb!)

support, so for all those REAL Kings fans, go online to Suns.com and get tickets for the game on Sunday. My group was able to get 6 tickets near the visitor bench at $64 each. There are lots of tickets available upstairs and downstairs, ranging from $12-$90. The drive according to yahoo directions is suppose to be 14 hours, but I made it to the Clipper's game in January in five when it was suppose to take seven hours. That game was great, because there were so many Kings fans there that by halftime everyone was cheering for the visiting team! If anyone decides to go and wants to meet up at the arena, e-mail me at: kingsfanhh@yahoo.com.

Thoughts on the Game

Critic

Now that was a good half of basketball by the Kings. Every single King who took the floor played well in one way or another and contributed to an old fashioned butt whipping of the Suns. Kind of amazing that the Kings dominated at the POINT GUARDposition! That seems to say it all. If you dominate the best PG in the NBA at both ends of the floor, you "have your playing shoes on." I know that the game technically isn't over, but . . . it's getting late here, it would be pretty far fetched (tho not impossible) that this could become a good game, and I wouldn't want to witness the kind of train wreck it would take for the Kings to let the Suns back in this game, so it's off to bed for me.

The Real JC

Great win tonight. Overall the whole team came with an attitude that we shall not be beat. I am so happy for Jason, he was absolutely incredible tonight. He needs to keep taking the ball to the rack, he was blowing by everyone who gaurded him. C-Webb keep your butt down on the block, you are unstoppable there. Great team win, way to go guys. Now lets go finish it in Phoenix.

How about C-Webb making Tsakalidas look like he was playing for the Washington Generals. Was that Meadowlark Lemmon I saw out there tonight? Absolutely hilarious!!!! Hubie, Kenny, and Charles Barkley were having fun with that one. Go Kings!!!!!!!!!

REDEMPTION!

Wasn't it exciting to see the Kings play with driven determination. But, dang, they are going to have to take that momentum, that intensity into Phoenix or the Suns will bite them right back. Really, this is the kind of playing that the Kings used to get through most of the season and was somewhat absent from the end of the regular season. They will need this kind of play if they are to advance to the finals. Anything less will park their collective butts in short order.

Reno Lady

There's quite a difference in winning by 3 points and winning by nearly 30 points and I hope the Suns see that difference no matter what Skiles tells them. Whether the Kings were nervous on Sunday or just didn't play well or whatever the reason for that loss, tonight's game has to make the Suns nervous - to know that the Kings can bounce back so emphatically after a loss.

Jason was terrific tonight - I'm glad that Adelman just let him go for it! Unlike most players who get their offense going by being aggressive defensively, Jason gets his defense going by being aggressive offensively. Notice how much better his defense was after he'd made a couple of shots? Could not believe that behind the back pass to himself of Webber's - don't think I've ever seen anything like it in a playoff game. AND- for everyone who's been complaining about our All-Star PF I would hope you might re-think things a little. Chris played a very good game tonight - not too many shots, not too many outside shots, several boards, blocks, assists. It's pretty obvious that winning the game comes first to him, his point total second.

Please guys - take this feeling to Phoenix with you - and I'm not talking about the feeling the win gave you, I'm talking about the feeling you had playing this game - the teamwork, the hard work, the desire to destroy the other team and the mental attitude to make your opponent play YOUR game.

Anyone else see the freakin' lightbulb go on over Jason's head tonight?

My buddy and I were watching the game and screaming . . . "three freakin' years, you can get to the basket on ANYONE!!!"

Play your game J-Will, but you finally figured a big part of it out.

Early in the third, Skiles has to put Marion on the bench to bring Delk in to COUNTER Jason, because Jason is ATTACKING them and NOONE can stop it.

How HUGE is that?!! Someone countering Jason's offense.

ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK!!!! When the Kings get in their funk, only Christie seems to ever remember to attack.

Let's see if this is a turning point for J-Will.

Go Kings!!!!!!!!!!!

JB

That was pretty close to a perfect game for the Kings. Peja looked much more like himself and not a deer caught in the headlights. I'll take Chris Webber's 16 point 9 reb game tonight over the 27 point 15 reb game the other day. He did seem to move better and the defense was there tonight. He had a couple of outstanding blocked shots that I haven't seen in a long time. Hello Jason! It's about time that you found out it's much easier to score closer to the basket then 30 feet away from it. I love the patience he showed when he took Kidd to the hole and got him in the air and then put in the short bank shot. If he doesn't drive to the basket at least a dozen times during the next game, he should have his head examined. Finally, Rick Adelman never once let Skiles dictate who the Kings put on the floor. The Kings stayed big all game until garbage time. I also like that he rewarded Jason with some PT in the 4th.

SandB Bill

There was not a basketball game in the vicinity.

There was only an insect and a windshield, a steamroller and a patch of wet asphalt.

Either way, the sound remained the same:

Splat.

Not unexpectedly, the Suns were swallowed by the moment in their playoff encore, devoured by a desperate opponent. Somewhat predictably, they were reduced to a sparring partner on a night when they could've crowned the Kings.

Birdman

Woo Hoo! I knew they would bounce back, but man.

they not only handed the suns their butts, they fried them up with a side of onions to cry about all the way back to phoenix, you know the kings when they get momentum like this, I predict we wont get a game 5, kings will defeat them in both games at phoenix. !!!

they made the suns look like golden state.

gonna go talk smak in the phoenix board now....

PistonJW

Tonight

Will be the turning point to the Sacramento Kings in their route to the NBA finals.

If they can stick to their offensive game plan and give all they have in the defensive end, this team is invincible.

It's also the beginning of the Jason Williams party tonight!

Pondo

Did any one see Kenny Smith talking about CWebb's moving the ball around Jake then passing for a 3? He talked about Jake being a "mixer" (food mixer) the way he was spinning around trying to find the ball. Then he spun his chair in a circle, like Jake was moving. Interesting.

I was hoping that JWill would let Pete Carril take him under his wing and teach him the "head skills" needed to be a great PG. Not sure if this happened or not but will wonder if JWill's "comments in the SacBee" about not knowing his role and RA's response about their talking to him about this role played a part in his game Wednesday night?

Just hope he keeps knowing this role and playing it! Let the other team adjust to him rather than the other way around.

Will be interesting to see how the Suns and their Fans act on Sunday.
Wonder who the zebras will be?
Sure hope that Walton is not the color person on TV. Maybe they will keep him doing the east coast games, thank you!
