OBSEVATIONS
SactoGreg
From last night's
"slug-fest":
-
Where was the Kings defense, particularly
when it mattered most? Disappointing.
-
Although he scored a quiet 19, Peja just
wasn't integrated into the Kings offense
enough. He needs to be more aggressive,
something I think that falters a bit when
Webber is on the floor.
-
I am very proud of the Kings for keeping
their cool after several very questionable
calls. Are they maturing before our very
eyes? And for those "other" fans
that said the Kings whined too much last
night, take another look without your purple-and-gold
lenses on.
-
The Jazz are 2-0 this season when Sloan
gets tossed. Look for more verbal jabs from
Jerry directed towards the refs on Monday
night.
-
Bibby played outstanding basketball. The
offense moves the ball so much better when
he's on the court. His shots were falling,
he was passing well and he seemed to control
the back court quite well. My only problem
with his game last night was his two missed
free throws during one trip to line.
-
Bobby had a pretty decent game. BUT WOULD
YOU PLEASE PASS THE BALL!
-
I loved Webber's post game interview! I
was laughing for him!
-
Ostertag with 22 points? Never again.
-
The Jazz backs were against the wall and
they played like it. The Kings just didn't
have the same attitude or level of intensity
they did. I'd be very surprised if we see
this type of behavior from the Kings tomorrow
night. In fact, I'd go as far as to suggest
this wake up call will light a fire under
them.
-
The Kings just don't seem to play very well
when they have extra time off between games.
It seems as though that the more time they
have to prepare, the less prepared they
come into a game following a long layoff.
This surprises me since Adelman was quoted
as saying his team had some great practice
sessions this week. Let's hope that there
aren't anymore long stints between playoff
games!
