IT'S
PLAIN AND SIMPLE

Just back from the
gym. Tonight's win truly established how
much better the Kings are than the Jazz.
Yes, Mr. O blew a gasket early and that
didn't help the Utah cause, but the formula
for this Kings dominance was really quite
simple. Tonight
we saw the re-emergence of Vlade and Bobby.
Divac was a hustling maniac tonight, looking
nothing like he has in recent weeks...er,
make that months. That 9-point start in
the first 4 minutes was a beautiful thing
to behold. He continued to be force throughout
the contest, and the offense actually ran
through him quite a bit. Remember when we
used to do use BOTH Vlade and Chris to run
the offense through? Bobby had a breakout
offensive game tonight and did a superior
job on defense as well. He was obviously
pumped due to his 6th man award presented
before tipoff.
THIS is the team that can win the NBA championship.
On offense, the team that passes, gets everyone
involved, and is not stagnant. On defense,
the team that plays great man D and provides
timely weakside help when a teammate is
beaten. Tonight was just one game, true,
but we now have been given more than a glimmer
of hope that we can step up to the challenge
that will be presented in the next round
and beyond, and increase our level of play
like we need to in order to get the big
prize.
Can
we play consistently in the near future,
just like we played tonight? Since I believe
that we can count on Chris, Mike, and Peja
to continue to do their thing, if Vlade
and Bobby come to play like they did tonight,
no one will stop us.

That's all that can
be said about Kings fans. I was at the game
and I am so glad Stock and Malone got the
ovation they deserved to get at the Delta
Center. Malone said in the post game that
it meant a lot to him and that Kings fans
were the classiest. Overall a great night,
we are 1st to get out of the 1st round,
and seem to be playing very well. I really
liked the way RA used the bench he seemed
to find all the right combinations. 4 down
12 more to go, enjoy the ride.
