or
maybe it really is that he spends time with his family
and his mind is really there instead of on the game,
but whatever it is Vlade is the only one who can change
it. Does anyone remember how he played in the last
regular season game that the Kings won in LA?

Guess
it is hard for the "media" to accept the
fact that "they do not need to know everything!"
If a 25 year old son does not want to talk about his
mother then accept it, don't berate him for it!
Why
the writer feels the agent was wrong in telling them
about areas that JWill would not comment about seems
to me the agent is doing his job. The writer just
does not want to accept the fact there are limits
about what a person wants to make comments concerning
their personal life.
JWill,
take it to them!!!

Yeah,
sometimes the media gets a little self-important.
At the same time, let the kid say what he will or
won't talk about. He shouldn't need a self-appointed
gate keeper.

Friend does have some valid observations about the
way Jason Williams is playing, although he leaps to
some conclusions without giving us a clue as to how
got there. Specifically, that Rick Adelman is benching
Williams late in games and that Adelman is fed up
with some decisions Williams makes on the floor. If
Friend has Adelman saying that, quote him; otherwise,
we're left to assume Friend is making those assumptions.

I
somewhat understand J-Dubs not willing to speak to
people about his personal life. I would not like it
if someone started asking questions about some of
my family. I do feel that by accepting the job you
accept that you loose a certain amount of privacy.
I
think the issue is a little deeper thou. I have heard
stories about him around town that I don't want to
get into because they are stories and I don't want
to spread anything.
I
only have the best hopes and wishes for him. I see
the promise and the potential in him. I hope it works
out for him not only in Sac but in the NBA. If the
behavior toward fans and other things keeps up then
I would not be surprised to see him out of the league.
After all even if it isn't true who wants to have
someone with a reputation of being a ready to snap,
out of control, racist drug user on their team?
Look,
I love him. I still wear # 55 on my back when I go
to games and at work. I get hell from people all the
time because he isn't putting up super star numbers.
Hey, I'm a Kings fan, I am used to people dogging
on me and my team :-)I relate to J-Dub, I understand
where he is coming from.
I'm
just saying I would HATE for him to be out on the
street when IMO he could be one of the greatest guards
of all time.

Stockton is rude to fans. Bill Russell refused to
sign autographs. Bil Liambeer used to tell fans to
F-off.
NBA
players don't have to be nice to fans....and the certainly
don't have to talk about their personal life. there's
a media requirement that they speak about the GAMES,
but most athetes say NOTHING about their personal
life. A sportswriter is out of bounds asking about
it.
That
article about JWil is a joke. In the Phoenix series
they had graphics of his stats---how he stepped up.
Now
he's a no talent psycho?
Please.
....and
on that personal level, it makes me wonder why a Sac
writer would write that article about Tyra Banks after
getting a response like he did from Webber.
"I
know her. She's a nice person". ....and that
fool wrote a long article about it. Is the Sac Bee
the Enquirer? People?
I
think sportswriters are jealous of the athetes they
cover and feel superior to the fans (They are "insiders",
after all).
Most
of them are completely out of touch.
I
don't know how the other Sac fans feel, but I've watched
Jason for 3 years.....and I don't see a guy who's
going to snap. He looks more like a player who is
having the time of his life---rooting, laughing, towel
waving---shaking and baking.....
No
one cares about Jason's racial comments. He's teflon.
MANoICE
I
wish the media would just leave J-Will alone. There
are just some people that don't care to be in the
spotlight, even if they love to showcase their talents
in fronts of millions. None of us can even imagine
the amount of annoyance these guys go through every
day because they are famous. Most of them just want
to play ball and make some dough doing it. They don't
want their past being the next movie of the week in
the headlines. Although Jason is flashy on the court,
he seems to be a shy and quiet guy in public. I bet
if people quit bugging him about this type of stuff,
he would seem a lot less defensive about it and the
media in general. It is one thing to critisize his
play on the court, but media savy can't always be
taught. Ask him about the game, not his mom.

I
think the most frustrating thing about all this is
that I've seen the kings play up to their potential.
Ive seen them play in such a manner that they would
blow out ANY team they played. Ball movement, shots
are going in, making their 3s, making their free throws,
rebounding and stealing like there is no tomorrow.
And ive seen it against the lakers in the past. I
just wish they would learn some consistancy. I think
that is the biggest thing that is holding this team
back. Weve got oodles of talent, just no consistancy.
Shaq
is consistant, he will always bring the same thing
to every game, and that is what makes him above everyone
else.
when
webber and peja start playing with consistancy, like
Doug Christie brings, we will be ready to win it all.
this
season I am hopeful, but realistic. If we can get
past the lakers I think we can go all the way, but
we have to get past the lakers first. This is a test.
The kings HAVE to step it up. All of them.
Personally
I think the focus on shaq is wrong. You should limit
kobe and the rest of them and let shaq get his points.
Shaq
cant win it alone.
Kingme
Even
if they win the two games at Arco, they have to down
to Staples Center again.I just can't stand to see
that place torture them anymore. Adelman, praise him
all you want, but he just isn't a great motivator
in situations like this. He has no passion, intensity
or energy. I can't envision him giving these great
motivational speeches that this team obviously needs
to hear. I don't care who you are, whether you're
a box boy at the grocery store, or a doctor or even
a fireman we all need that stern talking to
and kick in the rear once in awhile. Adelman knows
by now his team becomes unfocused, distracted, and intimidated
when they goes down to L.A., yet the team keeps repeating
the same mistakes over and over again.I feel like
i'm watching the same game sometimes - it's like Groundhog
Day! I predicted vlade's play down there and i was
right on the money. If I can see it, why can't a coach
who gets paid millions? Yeah, sometimes even if it's
not in your nature to get tough or use mind games,
maybe you have to change a little and put out that
extra effort in order for your team to be successful.
what i mean to say in all of this, is that Adelman
has to shoulder the blame a bit for his team's collapse.
A few of the writers in the Bee and elsewhere have
hinted that his game plan wasn't as good as it could
have been and his players, for some reason, wouldn't
adhere to it anyway. That's pretty embarrassing. And
now, i'm waiting for the maloof to come on the Late
show! I hope Kilborn won't try and make them look
foolish. He's pretty nice, and funny at times too.
Go Maloofs - represent!!!

Time
for all good Kings fans to start sending our guys
some positive energy and thoughts. Will always believe
that helps, sure can't hurt. Prayers might be a good
idea too!
I
don't think Jason ever goes brain-dead on the court;
I think he becomes too hesitant because he doesn't
want to make a mistake and therefore he makes a mistake
because he's been hesitant and waited too long to
do something. That's a mindset that may be part of
the result of the shuffling Adelman does sometimes
- or maybe what he says to Jason before he goes on
the court. I have no problem with taking a guy out
if he's struggling but I'd really like to see Adelman
give Jason a chance to play through those bad times
of his. Probably not a good time to start in the playoffs
however.
Win
or lose I hope our guys give the LA snobs one hell
of a battle tomorrow night.
Kobe
Jeff
This
guy wants to be the best of all time. He has it in
his heart so bad. And for him to become that, he needs
to be the guy taking the shots and who the offense
is highlighting. Right now, the Lakers are winning
because he is stepping back and giving Shaq the ball
(like anyone with a brain would do). But, Kobe isn't
going to play second fiddle to Shaq for too much longer.
He will probably keep reigning it in for the remainder
of the Lakers run this season.....But this offseason,
whether the Lakers win it or lose it, he is going
to demand a trade...
I
heard that D.C. is changing its mind about dumping
Mitch and that LA has offered Kob Me for Richmond....D.C.
wants a draft pick though.
LA
is tired of Kob Me acting like a little baby because
he knows he can't be considered the best player in
basketball if he isn't even the best player on his
team. And Jordan wants Kob Me because he needs someone
to carry his gym bag around.
