PROUD
OF THIS TEAM
Reno
Lady
Look,
the Kings did better than a lot of people
ever gave them a chance to do, including
some here, once Webber went down. I'm disappointed,
but not in the Kings. They played with heart
and gave us what they could; but when any
team loses its top scorer, rebounder, and
passer, all wrapped up in a 6'10",
245 pound body, I can't think of a single
team in the NBA who'd have had a better
chance to win a 7 game series than the Kings.
The fact that they made it a 7 game series
says an awful lot about just how strong
this team is.
No
matter how many negatives there might be,
there are always positives to match. As
I see it, some of those positives are as
follows: Webber will have his surgeries,
will have longer to rehab both his ankles
and his knee, and will come back next year
stronger than he's been the last 2 seasons.
Just think about that for a minute.........a
stronger, more athletic Chris Webber than
he was this year. And he was pretty darn
good this year for most of the games he
played. The Kings will be even more determined
to win next year, and no matter what changes
come about, the goal will be the same..........to
win the championship. Petrie and the Maloofs
will make changes if they feel those changes
are necessary, and they'll be good changes
that will make the Kings better. This loss
will sit inside them all summer, making
them hungrier and angrier than ever - and
that's a good thing, because they'll be
determined to oust that feeling once the
season starts next year. The only way to
do that is to win.
The
Real JC
It
just wasn't meant to be. Our guys played
with heart and true class. It was a tough
series and we battled to the end.
I
think all the Webber critics should be silenced
after this series. Its pretty evident how
much better he makes this team, he is an
elite player and we need him to win a championship.
We
will be back next year with a vengeance,
you can book it.
