NEW SEASON, SAME RESULT-KINGS WIN

M.I.A. MIKE
The Big O

Barometer, Microcosm, Conductor,

Whatever analogy works, the PG of a team and his mentality sets the tone for the team on both sides of the ball, but especially on the offensive end.

And what do we see when Bobby is given the reins? An agressive and sometimes electric team.

But we also see a team that is frenetic, herky-jerky and occasionally out of control. A lot like Jackson himself.

And when did the Kings really get back into the rhythm of things? When the team took on more of a Bobby like mindset on the defensive end, creating turnovers and cashing them in.One thing that I do think Bobby does a VERY good job at as a starting PG is running the break. He is aggressive enough that teams can't play him to pass it b/c he'll go to the rack on anyone. And thus, he's able to force the D to commit early and he makes pretty good decisions on the run.

But if tonight really shows one thing its that Bibby's value to the team can't be broken down into statistical production. He steadies the team, controls the tempo and keeps the team in its offensive sets as well as keeping those offensive sets moving and not breaking down.

Not every team is as offensively anemic as the Cavs. The Kings will be VERY glad to see Mike back in the lineup.

JONES, WALLACE, AND CLARK
Feistyfan

Nice Bench tonight - especially considering two of the regular bench had to start!

Damon Jones looked great. Had his 3 point shot on and did some nice ball handling and point guard work. Gerald Wallace is growing before our eyes. Nice to see that outside shot working - including his first 3!! Keon Clark looked very good all night long. 5 or 6 blocks, some real nice looking jump shots.. If this game is at all representative of these three guys' contributions this year, I think the future looks bright indeed.

Mr. Petrie: we're not worthy - we're not worthy!
