REMEMBER
WHEN...
Feistyfan
There
was a time when the Kings would lose last night
by 2 points and call it a moral victory. They
would have kept it close tonight with the Knicks
and felt pretty good about it.
But that wasn't this team was it? This one with
Bibby, Vlade, CWebb, Christie, Peja, Hedo, Fundy,
DJones, Keon, Scot, Bojax & Gerald..
But neither was this team, this team.
Bibby Out. Keon Out. Vlade playing, but hurt.
Scot playing, but hurt. Hedo playing, but weak.
This is just a bad early trip. Glad to get it
out of the way and good riddance to it. Despite
being decimated with injuries, we made a good
showing.
Plug
said Yup, they are in disarray, and need
a healthy helping of home cooking and fan adoration
to perk them up.
I
think maybe they just need a healthy helping
of healthy!
I'm
not even close to being worried. I don't know
what our opponents might be saying - or what
smack might be running out there, but we will
get healthy, get on track - and become, once
again, the dominant power team that we all know.
GO
KINGS!

"I heard the news today, oh boy, ten thousand
holes in..." the Kings game.
I
actually looked in on a little of the game a few
times. Vlade looks like he is playing in pain. No
Hedo, no Keon. No Mike. And Chris? Well, the Kings
are playing star ball (instead of team ball) and
Chris is not delivering. It would be wiser for them
to play team ball like they did last year. But Vlade
is obviously playing hurt and Chris is coasting
and everyone seems to be going through him, and
Bobby is trying to force things and not succeeding.
Mike is making a fortune sittting on his butt. Chris
is making a fortune just because he has enormous
talent, but cannot lead and is not a franchise player.
Peja is getting hounded and seems lost out there.
He is a team player. No team ball. I just could
not bear to watch; but actually tuned in to watch
the grizzly end. It was pathetic. The Kings lost
to TWO previously winless teams on this road trip
and went 1-3. If they are going to play like this,
there is no reason to watch or cheer them on. If
they return to playing with heart and to play the
exciting and effective TEAM ball that worked so
well last season (without and with Chris), then
it will be a joy to watch and cheer them on. They
cannot expect fans to be happy with halfhearted
attempts and just going through the motions to pick
up a check. It will be interesting to see what kind
of reception they get when they return to ARCO.
It will be interesting to see if they rally and
start to play like the NEW Kings again.
The
Supersonics, Mavericks and Nets have been doing
so well to start the season though. And the Spurs
and Magic are off to a good start too.
The Kings and Lakers? Eh. Somebody ought to wake
these guys up. Well, somebody ought to wake up the
Kings. The Lakers can stay asleep. |
