The Kings pulled this ugly one out. What I saw when the Grizzlies made their run in the late 3rd Q and during the 4th Q is a Memphis tightening up of their defense. They were fierce and swarming all over the Kings, disrupting their game. The Kings went cold on the shooting and the Grizzlies took advantage of it and cut the lead down to make a game of it. Glad the Kings won this one, but they almost were sunk by the 0–5 Grizzlies.

It was great to see the Kings sparkle a bit during the 1st Q and most of the 2nd Q. It was just as ungreat to see them out played in the latter 2nd Q, the 3rd Q. and a good deal of the 4th. Anyhow, no complaints as the Kings held on and

put this one away. Webber and team will only improve as more time goes by. Sure glad it's early in the season. Oh, yea, LA is sucking buttermilk right about now.

I'll second that "Phew!"...

May not have been pretty, but it was a win. They held it together. I think coming home to Arco may have been the best medicine right now.

Instead of melting down at the end, they played

like they wanted it (sweet putback by Chris after Vlade missed his FT's!) and hopefully now they've snapped the spell. As for Lakers-Zards...that's what happens when you pat yourself on the back for a win you ain't got yet!! Stackhouse was definitely The Man of the night...
