JUST
BACK FROM THE GAME
SWEEtness
Just
got back from the game...I'm glad we won.
It was a closer game than I was expecting.
I guess we've been spoiled with the Kings
of last year. They are looking like they
did a couple years ago. Just an okay to
good team...not a completely dominant team.
It's getting kinda frustrating without Bibby
around...I bet it is just as frustrating,
if not more, to the players.
The
team wasn't hitting their shots at all in
the second quarter. Easy layups and wide
open shots just weren't falling. Christie
lit up some in the second half. He seemed
to have shaken off this slump of his and
was hitting his shots. He's always there
on defense, but there was nil offense from
him in the last couple games I saw. Peja
had an alright game. Not spectacular, but
he hit several nice shots that I was excited
about. Webber still looks hideous with his
free throws. He needs to go back and work
on those like he did a couple summers ago...they
just look wrong. Hedo's shot was off, and
you could tell he was really frustrated
with himself. When he was taken out of the
game in the fourth quarter, you could see
it in his face (even from my vantage point).
Fundy was there to comfort him with a hug
and some words...Hedo did the towel over
the head thing and didn't come out for a
while.
I
found myself just wanting MORE the whole
game...more defense...more offense. More
energy...MORE PLAYERS!!!
I
have decided to go to the games that I have
tickets to until I am physically unable
to. As a compromise, I am trying not to
yell as much. I figure the baby is insulated
enough from the outside noises, but my constant
yelling and screaming may be more disturbing.
I had no idea this would be such a tough
thing to do. How do you watch a Kings game
without hooting and hollering and jumping??
I did a whole lot of clapping and stomping
today. I am trying to think of other ways
to release my emotion during the game. I
have bought a blinking electric sign that
you twirl in order to see the words. I haven't
used it yet, but I think I will have to
after this game.
