That
was a nice little game the Kings put together
last night. Once again, they lost their focus
for a short time, never enough to let the Warriors
take over the game, but they lost it nonetheless.
Bad habit to get into and I hope Adelman chewed
their butts about it.
When
will fans learn it doesn't work to boo Chris Webber?
It's like waving a red flag in front of a bull.
He just goes off when that happens. 15 of 18 shooting?
Ridiculous. I think his charge into Dunleavey
was on purpose; he knew he'd get that foul and
didn't care. I'm not sure why he did it but it
was obvious from the time he got the ball what
he was going to do.
I
also thought the T for hanging from the basket
was silly - there was a guy almost right underneath
him at the time. Would the ref have rather seen
Chris drop down on that guy and flatten him? Saw
Ricky Davis do the exact same thing in the Cavs/Mavs
game with no T called. BTW, the Cavs gave the
Mavs their biggest challenge so far. The Mavs
didn't even have the lead in that game until sometime
in the 3rd quarter I think it was, and won the
game by only 4 points.

I
missed the first quarter but watched most of the
rest of the game. Evidently the first quarter
was vintage Kings with Bobby and Peja roaring.
I missed that. What
I did see was a Kings offense that is unstoppable
unless they stop themselves, which is exactly
what they did in the fourth quarter. The defense
was weak, but strong in spurts. It is abundantly
clear to me that when the Kings finally start
playing like they are capable nobody will be able
to beat them. But they are not yet even close
to playing as they are capaple.I did manage to
see Chris have a stellar shooting night. Wow!
The
fourth quarter though was perhaps the worst offensive
performance (pun intended) I have witnessed in
some time. I mean, it took 5 1/2 minutes for the
Kings to score 2 points and then did not score
again until there was something like 3 1/2 minutes
left in the game. Then they scored 12 quick points
to end up with 14 for the quarter. That is a far
cry from the 39 they scored in the first!
