CLIPPERS
AIN'T THAT BAD
Kingsgurl
I
thought they had the talent to make it
last year (and, indeed, they almost did)
They just haven't developed the chemistry
yet, adding Miller (who has not yet found
his place on that team) takes some adjustment,
and the cloud of uncertainty that hangs
over their heads due to Sterlings tight-fisted
ways can't help either.
They have traditionally given us fits,
especially in their place, so I will take
the win, horrible second and third quarter
notwithstanding. At least we made the
adjustments neccesary to pull out the
win on the road, second night of a back
to back, Webb in early foul trouble, etc.
This game could have gotten very ugly
with a quickness if we hadn't regrouped
and taken control.
Just WIN, baby

Hey,
at least the Kings are learning how to win the
close games.
A
Win Is A Win Is A Win........
Better to be 9-4 than 8-5

Once
upon a time, there was a giant center named Wilt.
Wilt
couldn't shoot free throws, so he got hacked a
lot.
Wilt
didn't whine about it....he went to the weight
room and got himself into top physical shape.
He
was the first nba player to do that.
When
Wilt died, Coach Adleman told a story about playing
against him. He said they were instructed to foul
him hard before he went up for the basket and
send him to the line.....so Adleman did that.
He grabbed both his arms and hung on....
......and
Wilt took Adleman right up with him, hanging on
his arms, when he dunked the ball.
Shaq's
abdominal strain was more about him not being
in shape than it was about the beating he was
taking.
Shaq
was whining constantly about it. PJ backed him,
but he also told him about the beating MJ took....and
what he did about it.
MJ
hit the weight room and turned himself into a
bruiser that could handle the punishment.
There's
something not very sympathetic about a giant fat
man crying because he gets hit too much.
I
don't dislike Shaq, and I generally defend him.....but
that's one area where I have no sympathy whatsoever.
It's
his job to stay in shape.
