Memphis
played the Lakers very well but they let
down at the end. Of course, the Lakers had
some help from the refs (what's new?) but
nonetheless they turned up the defense in
OT and closed out the game.
I just checked the boxscore and Christie
played 46 minutes tonight. Those are Webber
type minutes and tells me Webb may not have
been feeling well, as he played only 29
minutes. Christie stepped up and played
those extra minutes instead - and scored
25 points with 6 assists. The Kings need
to hold on to this feeling when they go
on the road. They played like they owned
the court tonight and that's how they need
to play away from ARCO. They were there
at the end of last year and during the playoffs
but they're not at that point right now.
Wish they'd hurry up and get there again.
Just read the recap on SacBee online and
yes, Webber had a "severe case of the flu"
which caused him to go back to the locker
room twice during the game. Thank goodness
those mandatory 8 players don't have to
be out on the floor or the bench the whole
time or the Kings would have been in trouble
when Webb made those locker room visits.
CHUCKY KARMA?
Kingsgurl
Anybody
else thinking now might be a good time to
give Chucky Brown a call ? no, not because
of the Karma/Curse thing (although it couldn't
possibly hurt, at this point ) Rather, because
he is available, familiar with the team,
coaching staff etc. knows the system and
could come right in and contribute, with
a minimal period of adjustment. I really
liked his attitude while he was here.
Who else is out there?
Do we just cross our fingers and hope we
can continue to muddle along, barely able
to suit up the NBA minimum 8 players?
Hurry and get well, Hedo, Mike, Scot, Peja,
Mateen!!!!!
