PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT LOSS TO MEMPHIS...
KINGS ARE BACK ON TRACK WITH 3 STRAIGHT ROAD WINS

.
Something new today... The Mobsters chime in on what Timmy is saying...

Tim Hardaway, seeing his teammate being schooled unmercifully by Peja Stojakovic, tries to raise Griffin's spirits by doing his best Sylvester Stallone as Rocky impression. "Yo, Adrian!!!" Whether his attempt to loosen up his teammate was effective is open for debate, although it must be said that Peja went on to drop 32 total points following a 17pt first quarter barrage.

"Hey Peja, Ask Rick if I can play for you guys."

"Quick, get the firehose, this guys on fire."

"Hurry up and foul him, he has the ball again."

"Hey dude, it's normal for NBA players to MISS shots once in a while... Give it a try!"

"No, No, it's YOUR turn, YOU guard him"

"What's the crap on yo' face, Euro?"

"Hey Griff, your man now!"

Peja says, "Yell all you want--I'm not giving you the ball!"

"Yo, Peja, you da man!"

"Peja! Peja! how'd you do that?"

Peja says, "Outta my way, big mouth, this ball is going through the hoop!"

"Adrian, hurry up and trip him"

"Somebody hurry and move the basket, that Euro guy has the ball again!"

"Hey Adrian, watch this.. If you don't like this guy, you don't like NBA Basket Ball"

"Hey Peja.. Can I have your autograph?"

"Hey Peja.. would you sign my jersey?"

"Hey Mom.. watch this guy with the ball.. he is awesome!"

"Hey, Peja - check your fly, man!"

"Hey Peja - Webber's checking in!! Oh wait. Hey Griff..Webber's checking in!"

"Noonan! Miss it! Missss! Noonan! Miss!"

"Where's Ashcroft when we REALLY need a guy detained?"

"Are YOU why the lights keep going out in California?"

"Keep it up and Alec Baldwin will play you in the movies!"

"INS! INS! Where's your green card, Peja?"

"Hey Nellie, trade me back to Miami. I would rather play for Pat Riley again than to have to guard this guy!"

"since when can Ross Geller from 'Friends' shoot the rock?"

"hey Mark!!!! You better bribe this guy."

"have you ever seen a grown man naked?"

"who does you hair?"

"Beat L.A.! Beat L.A.! Beat L.A.!"

"Reeeeeeecola"

As a last ditch effort to get Peja, one of the best shooters in the league to miss his shot, Dallas Mavericks guard Tim Hardaway yells at Peja, "Your shoe is untied!"

NOW THAT IS INTENSITY

What a great game. Peja Stojakovic was the sniper who shot the game out from under the Mavs. Make no mistake, the Mavericks and the Kings will be battling at the end of the year for one of the top 5 spots in the west, and these games mean something. We get to do it again on Sunday (and I get to be there!).

Pollard snagging 15 boards in the first half was great. Christie had an excellent half as well, and after getting 3 fouls in those first two quarters, he never got another one. We've talked about how the Lakers seem to clamp down on teams at the end of games - well tonight, the Kings did the same thing. Two key late possessions in a row, the Kings didn't allow Dallas to get a shot. The two previous games, we were lucky to not lose them both badly. This game, we looked like we wanted it. We hawked the ball, we moved the ball and we shot it well. Hedo looked MUCH better tonight, Peja was great, Bobby Jackson was absolutely clutch with his drives in the paint and power forward heart. As bad as we shot free throws, we made our last 10 of them. Curious that the margin of victory nearly mirrored that. I knew Dallas wouldn't stand for being 20 points down and would make their run. They have too many offensive weapons to stay down - especially at home. In the end, the Kings really earned this victory, and they did it without the help from interloping refs.

HUGE WIN

John114AAA

Beating a Dallas team on their home court after they have reeled of 4 straight was huge. It was quite a relief to see most of Nelson's attempted mismatches go wrong, except for Hardaway, until

"Who, ME?"

Rick put Bobby in and then they stopped his three point barage.

Pollard was so strong on the boards in the first half, totally dominant. Peja had his stroke all night long and they only stopped him by swarming him and trying to deny him the ball which left others wide open. We missed some really wide open easy shots in the second half or it would have been a blow out.

Vlade got lots of rest for Friday's game in San Antonio. We will need him to have a huge game against Robinson.

Home soon, GO KINGS.

Congrats to the Kings on a major win on the road vs. a very good team and all this still w/o CWebb. This one offsets the Memphis oooops the other night. They got the "right" number of wins in those two games, but just in the "wrong" order.

Hmmm, CWebb has never played on an NBA team with this good of a winning percentage. Think RA can find minutes for him when healthy?

I was surfing around some of the sports sites earlier and I don't recall if it was CBS or SI or ESPN, but one of them rated players by position and the best SF in the NBA in their opinion was . . . Peja! Not sure I'd go that far yet, but maybe. I'd say he is the best pure shooter in the NBA and he is becoming MUCH more than just a pure shooter.

AND ANOTHER HUGE WIN

Reno Lady

Man, do I love these guys! What a gutsy performance tonight after working so hard to take a victory in Dallas last night & then traveling to SA. The Kings have to be the most heart-stopping, nailbiting, hyperventiliating, not to mention toughest team in the league! They don't

"Hedo the Hunk" takes over the game!

know the meaning of "give up" any more. They have come so far in the last 3 years it's amazing.

Hedo and Fundy off the bench tonight were absolutely great. And as great as Peja was last night I have more respect for him tonight. Realizing he just wasn't going to get off many good shots tonight he didn't even let it faze him, just found other ways to help his team win; that takes a special kind of player when he's used to being one of the primary scoring options for his team. And bless Vlade, he played Duncan really, really well in the 4th quarter and in OT; didn't lose his cool but did what he had to do. Please note that the Kings FT% was way up tonight and Vlade actually made 2 of 2 in one trip to the line. 3 and 1 on this trip and both of the 2nd of their back to backs. Like I said, I LOVE these guys!

I'm not the least bit concerned about Webber coming back; I'm looking forward to it. Above all else, Webber wants to win & he'll take whatever steps he has to take to see that the Kings continue to win with him in the lineup. I've never considered Webber an especially selfish or self-centered player, even with all the attention he's had shown to him since junior high. I don't necessarily give him all the credit for that either; I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the way he was raised. Regardless, he's not going to do anything stupid that will short-circuit the momentum the Kings have going for them right now. As Critic would say, Webber's way north of stupid.

Now for the fun stuff: I just read that Shaq got tossed! Too funny. Anyone know why? And obviously Dan Crawford was NOT the ref tonight for the Lakers.

JB

Just a perfect night. The Spurs have to be wondering what they have to do to beat the Kings lately. Mostly without Webber.
Gotta love how Hedo has really picked it up in the few games. You can see his confidence growing by the minute. The Spurs had to be confident they had them beat with Bowen shutting Peja down, but I guess they didn't have anything for Hedo.
