Still a little bummed over the loss last night because that game was winnable for the Kings - they just didn't seem to put out the effort needed. Maybe they spent too much time in Houston before the game, touring all those night spots.

So........looks like the Lakers "slump" isn't over. Actually it was never a slump to begin with, it's just been bad basketball. Even with Shaq back in the lineup the Lakers continue to play like they feel they can just mail in the games they want. Sorry guys, it doesn't work that way. If they can learn to play on the road they might just end up being a decent team. Maybe all those American players on their team just don't feel comfortable anywhere but home! The loss last night makes it that much harder for the Lakers to garner the 50 wins I think a WC team will have to have to make the playoffs.

Peja: I think Peja was just rusty last night, as he would be. But his movement up and down the court looked good, not tight or like he was hurting and his shot looked good too. I was glad to see Adelman not push the issue with him however.

Yeah the game was eww. I expected a letdown after the incredible San Antonio showing...plus Houston were a better team last night thant he last time the Kings played them. Vlade took Yao to school that first time--and the kid is an apt pupil. He's going to really be something... I was wondering what effect Mobley would have (as he didn't play in the other game)--Doug had commented that, had Mobley played that game, he would have had a tougher time. Well, he may have been right--although Mobley did most of his damage when Doug was on his usual early-second-quarter break, I'm thinking the D was a big part of why Doug didn't get many through the hoop. Not that too many Kings perimeter shots were falling last night...Stevie Franchise definitely needed some D on him last night and that didn't seem to be happening...Poor Peja...he definitely needs more time working out, scrimmaging, etc. to get back in the flow. Just sounded like he was rusty. 8 turnovers...well, it beats the 20+ they had in Denver...
