Your wish list
Dear
Ricky,
You're
right--you, your team and coaching staff
have all been very, very good boys this
year! I'm only too happy to fill your stockings
with the goodies you requested, including
extra Mountain Dew for little Bobby Jackson
(he does wear those calories off, doesn't
he?), and giant Snickers bars for Gerry
Wallace--gosh, he has grown up! I remember
when he was little, he used to try to jump
up and touch Rudolph's nose when we were
flying overhead! And, you know, by the time
he was ten he darn near did... I
thought your requests were a little modest,
though, young fella. Because of this, I
decided to slip in a few extras you boys
might find handy on Christmas Day...
--Steel
reinforced nose guards for Mike Bibby, and
Dougie Christie--and the Christie lad looked
like he could use a pair of good boxing
gloves too, just in case...
--New
shoes for Peja, Mateen, and Lawrence to
ward off those pesky foot injuries...
--A
book of "Hair Fashion Through The Ages"...just
thought the Pollard boy might find some
inspiration...
--New
sunglasses for all! Those chrome Dadas of
Chris's, and those big diamonds several
of the boys are sporting in their ears,
make things blindingly bright at times...
--And
for you, Ricky, a little extra Maalox. I
was glad I still had some, after I delivered
the goods for those Nelson boys down in
Dallas...Pops Nelson always looks like he
needs the stuff...
Best
of luck to you tomorrow...oh, by the way,
you might want to round up some hamburgers
and steaks for your bunch for after the
game. Considering the load of coal I dropped
off in the stockings at Staples, we could
have one hell of a barbeque. I'll bring
the beer--ho, ho, ho!
Love,
Santa
