MORE ON THE GAME
JB

Bonzi was definitely challanged on most of his shots. He was just in one of those shooting zones where he doesn't miss. Rasheed just seem to have open looks all night. Webber hates guarding guys out on the deep perimeter and that's where Wallace lives. But Wallace had several shots in the lane where he could move just about anywhere he wanted. On the flip side, Webber was double teamed every time he put the ball on the floor. Since his outside shot wasn't falling and driving to the basket was usually against 2 guys, he struggled. To his credit, they ran quite a few plays to get Peja a good shot and those worked pretty good. I thought Webber could have played Wallace a bit

more aggressively and made him take some tougher shots. With Wallace, he's a mental volcano ready to go off. It just seemed like he was in a nice groove and nobody wanted to make it tough on him.

The Blazers went on one of these "unbeatable" streaks last year as well. They eventually crash back to earth and the finger pointing starts. You could see a bit of that last night during the timeout in the 1st quarter where all of the Blazers were listening to the coaches in their huddle and Pippen was sulking on the far end of the bench by himself. He is surprisingly childish for a veteran player with so much experience.

One more thing, Vlade needs to stop doing two things: the first is throwing that full length of the court inbounds pass that is a turnover about 80% of the time and works only 1 percent of the time. The other thing is he needs to stop dribbling the ball up court. That slow high dribble is so ripe for a steal, I'm sure Gary Gerould could take his headset off, run to the locker room, change into a uniform and get back in time to steal the ball from behind. Webber is also a loose cannon when he handles the ball that way. The only difference is that he tends to get a charging call about 50% of the time. If you're going to pay the starting backcourt approx 130 million dollars, let them take the ball up court. These are the dumbest brain dead mistakes that just drive me crazy. It litterally cost them the game last night. These guys are very smart players that do a hundered things a night to help win the game. Is it too much to ask that they show a little more respect for the ball just a few times a night?

I think it's about time we look past the Lakers and focus on the championship.

Our obsession with LA is clearly hurting us.

We put so much energy into beating LA that we're just emotionally and mentally drained afterward.

The reality is that we have bigger problems than LA.

I have serious doubt it the Kings can beat the Nets or Pacers without the home court advantage.

Ditto the Mavs.

It would really be sad if we finally beat LA this year only to see Mark Cuban sneaking away with the championship trophy.
