KINGS PLAYERS WARM UP FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

orayteks

Well another warm-up tournament finished Australia won it but at last Turkey beated Yugoslavia ,I dont have brief box score but Hedo scored 14 and played well, but what i have to mentioned that he forces too much ,i think he feels like star of team and he feels he has to score but IMO its no good for team.Peja only scored 2 not played so much,Divac scored 4.

The day before finals Hedo scored 14 against Russia, vlade 10 Peja 12 against Australia.

Former NYK Mirsad Turkcan (mvp of Euroleague last season) selected as MVP of tournament. Turkish team made a great sensation by beating the Yugo team.

Belgrade tournament is finished. I went to the game yesterday only to be dissapointed. Yugoslavia lost all three games (ouch). Peja played terrible in game 3, his perimeter shooting was awful and his layups either

missed or got blocked. Just aweek ago his performance in Turkey seemed to have been much better, I don't know what is going on. He is not tired, he played good defense and fought hard for the rebounds, but his offense was a disaster. Vlade was average. After two bad games Hedo played a good game. He and Bodiroga battled all night long, playing hard defense against each other. Hedo scored two tough three pointers over Bodiroga's hand, Bodiroga managed to counter with his patented hard-to-describe moves and was the team's best scorer with 19 points. Hedo scored 14 but Turkey's best player was the soon-to-be Pistons PF/center Mehmet Okur who displayed his very sweet shooting touch as well as good defense, he scored 22 points.

Peja didn't have one bad day, he had three bad days, the entire tournament. Yesterday was just the worst, probably the worst game I ever saw him play and it was just my luck to attend that game. Even during warmups his shot was off... The coach kept him on the floor even though it probably hurt the team, I guess he was hoping that Peja regains his shooting touch. It also says a lot about how much credit Peja gets in our national team. And the game was not all that "friendly", both teams fought hard.
